After the sudden death of their parents, Anne and Ada are left to live alone in their childhood home. As Anne longs for the safety of childhood, Ada bristles under her new duties as caretaker. When a mysterious Visitor arrives, both sisters begin to imagine how life could be better without the other. . .

Rachel Bonds (Playwright): Originally from Sewanee, TN, Rachel Bonds is a playwright and performer currently living in Brooklyn.  Her plays have been developed at New Georges, Ars Nova, Ensemble Studio Theatre, LaMaMa, The Flea, Playwrights Horizons, The Greenpoint Division, The Sewanee Writers’ Conference and The Atlantic Center for the Arts.  She is an Affiliated Artist with New Georges; a member of Youngblood, Ensemble Studio Theatre’s company of emerging professional playwrights; and a proud member of Ars Nova’s Play Group.   She was an Associate Artist in Residence at The Atlantic Center for the Arts and the Father William Ralston Fellow at the 2011 Sewanee Writers’ Conference.  Rachel is a graduate of Brown University. www.rachelbonds.com.

 

Linsay Firman (Director) directed the NY premiere of Anna Ziegler’s Photograph 51 at the Ensemble Studio Theatre, reprised at the 2011 World Science Festival. Other NYC productions include Rachel Bond’s Anniversary, Garrett M. Brown’s Americana and Jose Rivera’s Flowers all in the EST Marathon, Perdita by Pierre Diennet (Lion Theater), Joy Tomasko’s Unfold Me, Catherine Trieschmann’s Crooked, Heather Lynn MacDonald’s Pink (all at Ariel Tepper’s Summer Play Festival), Anne Washburn’s Apparition (chashama) named one of Time Out New York’s ten best plays of 2003, Howard Barker’s The Power of the Dog and The Possibilities, Joe Orton’s Loot, Peter Rose’s Snatch (Soho Rep). Linsay is the Literary Manager at EST and the Associate Director of the EST/Sloan Project. She began working in new play development as the Associate Director of Soho Rep, where she worked from 1998 – 2004. While there, she founded and ran Soho Rep’s renowned Writer/Director Lab. Additionally she was a member of the 2008-2010 Women’s Project Director’s Lab, a 2003/2004 Resident Director at New Dramatists, a Director/Dramaturg in The Lark’s 2007/2008 Meeting of the Minds writer’s group and is an Associated Artist of New Georges. She received her M.F.A. from CalArts.

Megan Tusing (Ada) is an actor based in New York City since 2007.  Some NY theater credits include As It Is In Heaven (3Graces), Gentrifusion (Red Fern), Wolves (Firework/59E59) , Sine Wave Goodbye (The Paper Industry), When Is A Clock (Blue Coyote Theater Group), Stock Home (Fringe NYC). She is a member of Ensemble Studio Theatre where she has performed numerous shows including In Memory of Julie Simmons, Airborne (Marathon ’10), Princes of Waco.  Megan also appeared on national televisions show such as Law &Order: SVU, Law & Order: CI and CBS Blue Bloods.  She is a graduate of James Madison University.
