Meg and Jenny were never quite friends. Now in their 30’s, the women couldn’t be more different except that they both attend the same A.A. meeting in their small New England town. When Jenny discovers Meg’s plan to commit suicide, she is determined to save her. Can an evening watching Pretty in Pink together change Meg’s mind? Okay, Bye is an intimate drama about life’s disappointment, recovery, and people who are too sensitive for their own good.

Joshua Conkel (playwright) is a writer of plays, graphic novels and TV pilots. He is also a Navy brat from rural Washington State. Plays include MilkMilkLemonade (Best Off Off Broadway Show of 2009-NY Press, published by Playscripts), The Chalk Boy (Published by Original Works Publishing), Lonesome Winter (co-written with Megan Hill), The Sluts of Sutton Drive, I Wanna Destroy You, Sprawl, The House of Von Macrame as well as countless short plays. Conkel’s work has been seen all over the world and developed by The Management, Soho Rep, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Old Vic/New Voices, Dixon Place, The Flea and more. He is a member of The Management, where he served as Artistic Director for six years, as well as a member of Ensemble Studio Theatre, Sons of Tennessee, and The Dramatists Guild. He is currently finishing a graphic novel adaptation of The Chalk Boy for First Second Books, an imprint of Macmillan, and editing his first short film, . Alumnist of Youngblood, The Soho Rep Writers/Directors Lab and the TS Eliot Old Vic US/UK Exchange. BFA in theater, Cornish College of the Arts. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Liz Carlson (director) is a freelance director and producer based in New York City, and the newest Artistic Director of Naked Angels. Her primary focus is the development of new plays and musicals. Liz has worked at Dallas Theatre Center, The Dramatists Guild, EST, The Flea, Keen Company, Manhattan School of Music, Manhattan Theatre Club, The New Group, New York Stage & Film, Playwrights Horizons, The Playwrights Realm, Studio 42, |the claque|, Williamstown Theatre Festival, and more. MFA: The New School for Drama. 2013 Drama League Directors Project Fellow.

Darcy Fowler (Meg) is a writer and actress living in Brooklyn, NY. As an actress she most recently filmed the movie “Like Sunday Like Rain” starring Leighton Meester, “Bad Parents,” starring Janeane Garofalo, an episode of “Louie,” starring Louie CK, among other indie films, theatre workshops, sketches and many silly commercials. As a writer, her work has been read and workshopped at Ensemble Studio Theatre, Primary Stages, Ars Nova, The Bushwick Starr, Theatreworks Palo Alto, Harmony Gold Preview House (LA) Noho Playhouse (LA) The Old Vic, The Cochrane Theatre (London) and Lockerbie Academy (Scotland). She is currently working on a screenplay commission as well as a musical with Heather Robb of the Spring Standards. In 2014 the musical was chosen for the Johnny Mercer Writers Colony at the Goodspeed Opera House. In addition, her play “The Bird and the Two-Ton Weight,” was selected as one of five American plays to be workshopped at the Old Vic in London, as part of Old Vic/New Voices. She is a proud alumni of the playwright group Youngblood, and a member of Ensemble Studio Theatre.

Megan Hill (Jenny) Originally  from Seattle,  Megan  is a New York based  actor  and writer.  She is a company  member  of Ensemble  Studio  Theatre,  The Management  Theater  Company,  and Studio  42.
